September '12

Another Thursday, Another Lodi Farmer's Market.

We had some cement poured, so we could put a storage shed in the side yard.

I got my J-plug charger... now to install it!

We went wine-tasting with Ravi and Naju - this time in the Murphy's area in the foothills.

We also went to the Calaveras Big Trees park to check out the giant Sequoias.

Haruko and I drove to the Stanford shopping center - stopping in San Ramon again, as well as in San Mateo where there is another high-speed charger (we didn't charge here - just stopped by for future reference).

This high-speed charger at the Stanford Shopping center is made by a different manufacturer, but works the same way - our batteries were charged to 80% in just a few minutes.

Then we moved the car to the standard J-plug area to finish the fill-up while we had dinner.

On another weekend we went to Santana Row (San Jose) with Bob and Reiko.

Haruko and I also went to Vacaville to do some shopping at the Outlet Center (we charged up while shopping).

Diane (to my left) transferred from Manteca Kaiser to a new position - the Manteca Kaiser crew had a sendoff for her. I haven't been working in Manteca for a few months - I'm working in Stockton full time now (since June), so it was really cool to see all of the people I worked with in Manteca for the last couple of years.

The construction crew came and cut a hole in the wall between the living room and the bedroom.

Then they installed the sliding double-doors that we picked out. Next up: installing the new tile floor.

My friend Sean and I went to the National Plug-in Day event in Alameda - first stopping in San Ramon to "fill-up".

There were a bunch of Leafs there, as well as some Volts, a Tesla Roadster and the new Rav4 EV

On another day we drove to Folsom with Jerod and Hayley to check out the new Tesla "Supercharger". It is very similar to the high-speed charger for the Leaf, but the plugs are not compatible, sadly.

We then went to Ikea - always thinking about what we can do to improve our home.
