My Electric Dream Finally Came True! A Nissan dealership in Petaluma (North Bay Area) dropped the price on four of the Leafs they had in stock. Haruko gave me the green light - so we drove there in the truck, traded it in on the Leaf and drove back home on electrons....
We stopped in Fairfield on the way home for lunch and a recharge.
The City of Lodi just updated their chargers to the J1772 standard ("J-Plug").
We decided to update one of the bedrooms - starting with paint, then replacing the carpet with tile. Next month a crew will come to open the wall between the bedroom and the living room.
To break in the new car we drove to San Ramon where there is a high speed charger - the batteries can be "filled-up" in just a few minutes, compared to the standard six-hour (J-plug) charge.
On Wednesdays, during the summer, there is live music at Victory Park in Stockton - it's always fun to picnic there with friends.
