Wow, the big half-century mark. Does anyone ever really expect to live that long?! Was 1960 really that long ago?!

From now on, this is all David can do...

My birthday present from Sean and Keri!

Janene and David also celebrated their birthdays at work - thanks everyone for the cake and cards!

For our celebration, we took off for a long weekend and drove to Ashland, Oregon. We rented a room at a bed and breakfast called the Black Swan Inn.

Brammo, the maker of electric motorcycles, has their headquarters in Ashland, what a coincidence!

We were treated to a brief tour by a lady named Laura.

This is the view of the Rogue Valley, where Ashland is located in southern Oregon.

We picked a good weekend to go - the fall colors were awesome!

Meanwhile back in California...

The little evil ones wait for David to fall asleep...

David's Dad came down from Washington to visit us! He stayed here for a few days and also visited his brother, Uncle Jim who lives in California.

Good news! The electric cars are coming!

Haruko's sister Kazumi and her family braved the weather and came to visit us for Thanksgiving!

Haruko cooked a wonderful feast and we enjoyed the family gathering.
