February '09

How was your February?  We had some interesting things happen this month...

I went to Chris' Superbowl party at his home in Ceres - it was a great game and a great party.

Jocelyn took the final step and entered into military service.  We went to her swearing-in ceremony in Sacramento, then she flew to the east coast where she is  now in boot-camp at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

If you want to send her a card or letter here is her address:

P F C Ewert, J.
ACO 2/39 INF, 3rd Plt (Diablos)
10402 Hampton Parkway
Fort Jackson, SC 29207

(She asked that you put a big "3" on the back of the envelope - also the soldiers are not allowed to receive any food during boot-camp).

We drove to Desert Hot Springs (Near Palm Springs) for my cousin Gary's wedding - he met Lorna awhile back (she was living near us - in the Modesto area).  Now they will be together in Southern California.

My dad flew from Washington to Sacramento so he could ride with us to Desert Hot Springs.

There are thousands of windmills in the Palm Springs area:

This is the view from Gary & Lorna's back yard.

After returning to Stockton my dad spent a couple of more days with us before returning to Washington.

I finally got my electric motorcycle back from the dealer - it was there for 6 weeks waiting for a replacement battery.  It appears to be fixed and running fine now.

Jocelyn has a classic car in storage - my dad bought some jack-stands and I put them under her car so the weight is off of the tires.

Take care everyone - until next month!
