DAVID AND HARUKO IN WASHINGTON!

Hi Again!

Spring is here finally! Well, sortof:

I hope everyone is OK. Haruko has been here for a couple months now, although she spent some of that time in Japan and in California. She is passing out her resume - looking for work, meanwhile she's bored at the apartment...

In March we celebrated several birthdays. Jocelyn came up to visit us and we celebrated her birthday (a couple weeks early - her birthday is actually in April).

This is in La Conner where whe had brunch on a Saturday morning:

We spent a day in Sequim visiting grandpa and cousins, this is on the ferry ride back across the Puget Sound:

Before Jocelyn flew back to California we went to Seattle where we took the Seattle underground tour.

We had lunch in Seattle before going to the airport.

Waiting at the airport, she couldn't stay longer :-(

One Saturday our nephew Taiga was in a school play - The Aristocats (He is the one wearing the bright orange cap)

Haruko and I spent another day in La Conner, a small town between the Skagit River and the Puget Sound.

We drove up the the Little Mountain Park again to enjoy the view.

We also celebrated our brother-in-law's birthday (Micah). We went to the Olive Garden restaurant in Burlington.

My dad converted an old end-table to a cool cat-litter box. It doubles as furniture in our apartment.

For Haruko's birthday we went to Seattle and spent some time in the Fremont area of Seattle.

We started at the Bellevue Square Mall:

Fremont is a fun area - it reminded me of Berkeley, CA:

We had dinner at a Japanese restaurant called Chiso.

Seattle has several active "Rationalist" groups - I went to a couple of meetings. One was a lecture by psychologist, author, Valerie Tarico, Ph.D.

Another lecture was by ACLU attorney Pat Gallagher.

One of the audience members had an electric car in the parking lot. Isn't it cool?!

Take care everyone - until next month!

Love, David and Haruko

Hey otosan, Glad to hear you guys are doing alright.

Our roommate did end up paying his rent, which was nice, but I'm not sure if he will stick around this next month.

How are you guys? How is Haruko holding up to the boredom? Is that end table easy to clean?
