Hi Everyone - Happy Holidays!

Jon and Jocelyn flew in from Kansas to celebrate the holidays with us! We went to a local Indian restaurant for dinner when they got here.

One evening I rode to Riverbank to talk to some other Electric Vehicle nuts... this guy (Robert) has an old Chevy LUV pickup that has been converted to electric drive.

To get it running he has to replace the old batteries (in the truck bed). This is the electric motor.

X-mas dinner was fantastic - Haruko made a vegetarian feast and we were joined by family.

Gary (my cousin) and Lorna drove up from Palm Springs, Jerod and Hayley drove down from Sacramento, Laura few out from Texas, and Jon and Jossy flew out from Kansas.

I decided to ride to Vacaville on New Year's Eve while Haruko was working.

... to take advantage of the electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

They have a new high-voltage quick charger installed, but it's not hooked up yet.

I found a Japanese restaurant while I was charging.

I shared the charging station with a Chevy Volt.

While topping off the batteries on the way home in Rio Vista - I took advantage of the nice weather and did some reading by the river.

The illiteracy problem continues...
