September '11

Hi Everyone! We had a great vacation in Japan in September. It was wonderful to see family and relax at Haruko's parents' house.

Every day I went on a walk with my father-in-law. This was a small local zoo within walking distance.

The view from the zoo on the hill.

One of Haruko's cousins has an antique sword from the Edo period in Japanese history (it is about 400 years old).

On most of our walks we followed the Kanagawa River.

We found an Indian restaurant not far from home one evening.

This is the Prada Store in Tokyo - interesting glass walls.

After Haruko went to the hair salon we found this vegan restaurant in Tokyo (it's actually inside this building - it's called Cafe8).

One day we took the train to the Shibuya area (still a suburb of Tokyo) to do some shopping and sight-seeing.

This historical building is just down the street from Haruko's parents' house.

On another evening we met with some of Haruko's friends - on the left are Keiko and Yuki, sitting next to me is Toshihiko.

One last walk before packing up and heading to the airport.

Haruko's dad's friend has an electronic appliance shop nearby.

Our flight home was at midnight, so we had time to celebrate one last time.

Wondering about the Vectrix conversion? I knew you were! When we returned home from Japan my friend Dean and I picked up where we left off:

Stay tuned for the final stages - we are getting close...

Also next month is Jocelyn's wedding! Watch for pictures and video coming soon :-)

Until next month - take care everyone!
