We celebrated New Years with our friends Bob & Reiko, and our daughters Hana - and Jocelyn!
Jocelyn came home from Fort Riley Kansas to spend Christmas and New Year's with us YAY!
We went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Sausalito (Avatars).
Haruko celebrated again with her friends from work!

Dr. Wass, a radiologist at Kaiser Permanente in Stockton, retired this month. He is one the oldest and most experienced practicing radiologists in the world. He worked full-time until age 87 and only then did he decide to retire because of economic cut-backs.

What would this blog be without something about electric cars? ;-)
David and Haruko went to a meeting in San Francisco (Plug-In America) where the city manager and civil engineers spoke about how in the near future the S.F. bay area will have 400+ new electric vehicle charging stations - in preparation for the mass adoption of electric cars coming soon.
We rode from the BART station to the meeting in this electric Toyota RAV-4.
The meeting was held in the newly rennovated James Lick Building which has an interesting history:
A plug-in hybrid school bus was on display:
And some other interesting hybrids and electric vehicles:
On another day we stopped by the electric vehicle charging station in Elk Grove:

One Sunday we decided to drive up out of the valley to get out from under the cloud-cover in search of some Vitamin D. We headed east up to Murphys, in the foothills.
Ah... sunshine!
Take care - until next month!
