David & 春子 in Stockton!

Greetings and happy Autumn to everyone. We hope this month's blog finds everyone well. Another month has slipped by, although it has been a month of suspense for sure... now it's just a matter of days until we know who the next president of the United States will be. I'm sure most everyone, like us, has found this election to be the most interesting, not to mention long and drawn-out. I'm also sure, like us, you will be voting! They are predicting large voter turn-outs this year - Vote on Tuesday!

OK, enough political stuff.

We didn't do as much running around this month, as we usually do. As the sun sets earlier and the temperature drops - it seems to be easily to relax at home, or work around the house.
We helped Jocelyn (David's daughter) move - she moved out of the house that she was renting, put her things in storage and made an offer on a house of her own!

I got an adapter for the Vectrix electric motorcycle that will allow me to charge up at a 240V outlet - like at RV parks.

I tried it at the EV charging station in Lodi, but - there was no electricity! I tried to call the city of Lodi to see if there is a way to turn on the electricity, but was unsuccessful. The lady that answered the phone wasn't even aware of the EV charging station in the parking lot, so she gave me a phone number of someone else, but the phone number just rang and rang... no answer, no answering machine. I'll try again later.

Spotted in Stockton - a Smart Car!

We went to the opening night of the Stockton Thunder Ice Hockey game - it appears that the game has changed recently. Now they wear SCUBA flippers, instead of ice-skates and they have Port-a-potties on the ice, for potty breaks:

I volunteered to work with the Obama campaign for a few hours one weekend - it was fun!

I took my Vectrix in for service (there was a firmware upgrade available). After I got home I ran out of electricity! Luckily I found an unattended electrical outlet near the mall... I plugged in for half an hour or so. While I was waiting I walked around the mall and found some more outlets... (future reference!)

Haruko had some excitement at work last Friday - someone drove their minivan through the front window of the grocery store:

Fortunately no one was injured.

Caught in the rain on an electric bike... shocking!

Speaking of Shocking... Happy Holloween!

That's it for October! Next month's blog will have pictures from the "Obama Victory Party" (or the "Reaching Across the Isle" party if McCain wins); hope to see you all there!
Tuesday, Election Day, November 4th, 6PM, at Dave & Haruko's place.

Love,
David & Haruko
