DAVID IN WASHINGTON!

Greetings from Washington... where it's RAINING! I've been putting my new umbrella to good use the last couple of weeks. My motorcycle is rusting underneath it's thin, wind-blown cover (OK, I'm exaggerating a little - anyway it's mostly made of plastic). Why didn't anyone warn me about the weather up here? ; -)

Speaking of my motorcycle (Honda Shadow), I just got the custom plate I ordered awhile back (KAGE, pronounced KA-Gay, it means Shadow in Japanese, clever, eh?):
The rain pauses on occasion....
In Bellevue, about an hour south of here, near Seattle, there is a mall, called Crossroads. They have a great food court with all kinds of different ethnic foods, not your usual fast food chains. I went there a couple times with my sister-in-law and brother-in-law and their family.
After dinner you can relax and play a game of gargantuan Chess!

I took a couple of pictures on the way to my dad's, across the Puget Sound. These are from Port Townsend, on the peninsula side of the Sound - it's a nice little town, but the ferry service has been decreased (something about the coast guard commandeering one of the ships)... I had to wait 2 hours last time!

Last weekend in Sequim, my brother, sister and I helped my dad pack up most of my mom's things. Have you seen 'The Big Chill'? It was nothing like that. (My dad's back is to the camera, my sister -Donna - is in the red shirt, my brother -Dan - is sitting down, looking at me, wondering why I'm taking a picture - his wife is standing behind him, Kayla his daughter is sitting next to him - see below).
In all we filled half a dozen large bags with various things headed to family members, Goodwill, and the dump...
My nieces and nephew in Redmond inherited some of my mom's stuffed animal collection.

The Scion had a flat tire - turns out it had a nail had penetrated it some time ago - causing a slow leak. A local GoodYear store fixed it - for Free!
Yesterday, before it started the afternoon downpour - I rode the Shadow (KAGE - there will be a test later) up to the new neighborhood where they will be building our new home.
Haruko flew up for the weekend - we went to the home-builder's showroom to make some decisions about the new house. (Her sister, Kazumi, is on the left).
Everywhere you go around here - there are traffic cops; here is some poor victim of a freeway speed trap.
Take Care!
Dave
These video clips were also taken with my high resolution cell phone camera...
