DAVID IN WASHINGTON!

How is everyone? How's California? A little HOT lately? Ha! It's beautiful up here and it's only rained a couple times! Of course winter is coming... (thanks for the umbrella Janene!)

I've been working almost 3 weeks here in Mt. Vernon, WA, already. (The first picture is at the main hospital, Skagit Valley Hospital). There are 7 sonographers that cover 3 sites. Everyone that I've met is nice - I think I'll really like this job. I haven't started taking call yet, but my first weekend will be at the end of this month (oh boy).

I'm still here in the RV park, while Haruko is holding down the fort in California. Our house in Stockton hasn't sold yet, but we're hoping it will sell soon.

We placed a deposit on a new home here in Mt. Vernon - it's in a new development - it will take about 6 months to build.

In the last few weeks I've gone over to Sequim, WA, several times (where my family lives). It's sure nice to be near family.
On Monday I was helping my sister learn how to ride a motorcycle. She did well - she is getting her permit this week and plans to buy her own motorcycle soon.
Now, ironically, my brother is thinking about moving... possible job relocation!

Just before I started my new job the company had a picnic - to say goodbye to the sonographers that were leaving and hello to us new techs (there are 2 including me - the other new tech moved here from Michigan). The picnic was at a place called Bowman's Bay, just next to Deception Pass. One of the sonographers, Howard, has a boat and sailed here from Bellingham (about 20 miles north of Mt. Vernon). Haruko was still here and had a chance to meet my new co-workers.

I'll be flying back to California this weekend - to spend some time with Haruko and my kids (who I miss!) I packed my shorts and sunscreen already...

Take care everyone - I'll keep you posted!

Dave
