November '09

Happy Holidays Everyone!

How was your November? Here are some of our adventures...

We met our friends Bob and Reiko for a Sunday brunch buffet at the Ryde Inn, near Rio Vista, in early November - all you can eat and everything delicious!

We stopped by historic Locke, CA after brunch to check out the ghost town:

We flew up to Washington for a long weekend - we had a blast with our families.

Jocelyn surprised her dad for his birthday by flying up to Washington from Kansas!

We went to Pikes Place Market one day...

and had lunch at a Bolivian restaurant.

David and Micah went to the annual FFRF Convention...

and checked out the "Bodies" museum while in Seattle.

Then we drove across the Puget Sound (by driving onto the ferry first) to Sequim, to visit more family

On our last night in Washington - we went out do dinner with David's sister Donna and her family.

Back in California David's co-worker (Julie) made hamburgers to celebrate his birthday...
the only time you'll see him eating a hamburger...
they were actually cupcakes made to look like burgers!

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious - Haruko cooked up another feast!

And, of course David had to do some riding on the electric bike - it just wouldn't be a blog post without at least one ride, would it? ;-)
This was taken in Galt - a favorite spot to recharge...

The last Saturday in November we went to see the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert - it is an amazing combination of light and sound (I can't take credit for this video - I linked to it from YouTube):

We wish everyone a Merry Christmas - see you next month!
